Cryolipolysis
The latest Spa technology in the quest to non-invasively treat stubborn areas of fat and cellulite. The technology was approved by the FDA in 2010 to provide a reduction of 20-25% in upper fat on the abdomen, thighs, back, love handles, under the buttocks, double chin, bra fat area, and upper arms.
What is Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis uses a controlled application of intense cold to
permanently kill fat cells. Utilizing a specialized piece of equipment,
the skin is drawn in via a vacuum and held between two cooling plates.
It has been found that the temperature range of 14 to 23 degrees
Fahrenheit (-5 to -10 degrees Celsius), is the ideal range to facilitate
fat cell apoptosis. During apoptosis, the upper fat cells crystallize,
die, and liquefy. The deceased fat cells are gradually removed by the
body and the treated area thus has less fat.

Is It Painful? Any Downtime?
When the Cryolipolysis applicator is first applied and treatment
begins, you will feel noticeable cold and squeezing. Shortly thereafter, the intense cold will cause a numbing sensation and there will be no discomfort. The skin is protected the entire time with a special anti-freezing membrane. There is no damage to the tissues of the skin, musculature, bones, etc; only direct stimulation of
apoptosis of the upper fat cells.
Some Clients may have a bit of a flush in the area treated, due to the generation of heat and micro circulation, but this shall dissipate within a half hour. There are no incisions, bruising, or stitches. The epidermis remains fully healthy and intact. Following the treatment session, you will notice some redness and swelling in the treatment area. Some may experience some mild bruising. Most symptoms disappear within three days. You can return to work/play immediately after your Cryolipolysis treatment; there is NO Downtime!
What Will My Results Be? When Will I Notice Them?
The key to non-invasive removal of fat is Patience. On average, Cryolipolysis technology has been shown to provide a 20-25% REDUCTION of fat in the treated area after 3 sessions! This reduction is fully noticeable after 3 Months. The reason it takes so long is that the body takes time to naturally eliminate the liquefied fat cells. HOWEVER, our Cavitation/Radiofrequency treatments can be utilized to help the CryoSculpting work faster and better. Most Individuals Opt to get 3 sessions on a given area. Those with very little excess fat may be able to see desirable results from as little as one session.

Who Can/Cannot Get CryoSculpting?
CryoSculpting is intended for healthy adults who maintain a stable weight or are in a weight loss program. Whilst we can achieve up to a 25% reduction in fat in just a few sessions, fat cells can and will return when there is weight gain.
The Following are some Contraindications for CryoSculpting. Individuals with these concerns may not receive the treatment :

Clients must have enough excess fat for the machine to "grab". Whilst this generally a small amount, it is necessary for the treatment to work. Flat treatment paddles are available for thinner-skinned areas.
